We want to thank the City of Folsom and everyone who made this event possible
A group of Folsom citizens with the support of the City of Folsom and the Folsom Athletic Association hosted a benefit concert to raise money for the Mountain Ranch, Butte Fire Families. The event, themed “One Community Helps Another,” was held on October 25, 2015, at the Folsom Community Center. $10,707 was raised for the Mountain Ranch Community. The funds will be used to provide immediate assistance as families start the process to rebuild their lives.
Mountain Ranch residents Dave Bristor and Sue Hinojoza, Roger and Nataly Messersmith, Folsom Firemen Ken Kuykendall, and CDF Cartographer Michael O’Keefe were at the event. Dave expressed, “as one musician to another, the support from the Folsom community was overwhelming.”
Perfect Sounds DJ & Production Company MC’d the event. The concert performers included “A Stones Throw, Billy J Walsh Band, Jerry Fairlie, and Progress not Perfection.” Several local businesses – The City of Folsom, Folsom Athletic Association, Nicholson’s Music, Nicholson’s MusiCafe, Folsom Moose Lodge, Folsom Arts Association, Smashburger, Snooks Chocolate, and Sam’s Club – provided support and refreshments.
Donations are still being accepted through the Folsom Families Care website and GoFundMe (folsomfamiliescare.org). We want to thank the City of Folsom and everyone who made this event possible.
